Cup & Poem was born from a conversation in 2025 between two kindred spirits—Jim and Justin—who discovered that their creative passions were not only complementary, but destined to grow side by side.

Jim is a writer with a heart for storytelling, having authored children’s books and poems that speak to emotion, memory, and wonder. Justin, a visual artist drawn to the quiet magic of pen and paper, found art as a way to calm the noise of life. With a natural passion and deep imagination, he honed his skills through online classes, learning from instructors and fellow students, and channeling his vision into every line he draws.

We met in 2023 through work and quickly built a strong, collaborative friendship rooted in trust, respect, and laughter. We’re both Geminis—curious, expressive, and always dreaming—and by 2025, we began building Cup & Poem as a home for our shared creative voice. Together, we craft illustrated books, poetic collections, and artwork that invite you to pause, feel, and find beauty in quiet moments.
